The Human Rights Council of the UN on Palestinians

The Human Rights Council of the UN put out a draft resolution covering several nations, among them what they called “The State of Palestine.” This is very definitely what our president would call a BFD. This document grants to “the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem,” pretty much everything that CJ-Allies has requested for them. Israel is termed an “occupyng Power,” which means, among other things, that Israel is responsible for seeing to it that Palestinians get vaccine for COVID-19. As Israel controls all of the borders* from the outside world to Palestinians, that means Israel must see to it that Palestinians get what they need to combat the coronavirus.

*Very interestingly, Al Jazeera reports that, as of 10 February, the Rafah border crossing from the Gaza Strip into Egypt is now permanently open. Not sure why or what that might means as far as Israel’s responsibilities as an occupying power may go.
