Israeli airstrikes in Gaza

Hmm, not exactly a battle of equals here.

Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported that Israeli warplanes attacked the central Gaza City office building where its offices are located with at least five rockets, causing no injuries. In photos published by the agency, the building appears to be totally destroyed.

The airstrikes on Friday came after Israel said that two of its soldiers were injured by gunfire near the boundary fence with Gaza.  …

Palestinian resistance factions responded Saturday with barrages of more than 200 rockets and mortar shells into Israel, one of which reportedly damaged a house near Ashkelon.

The Maan News Agency reports that “Five Palestinians, including Saba Abu Arar, 14 months old, were killed by the Israeli occupying power.”

There are reports of Israeli injuries, but no deaths. Turkey and the PLO leadership in the West Bank have both objected to the Israel airstrike.

Update: We can write off Mayor Pete Buttigieg as being any sot of friend to Palestinians. He thinks the strike on Gaza is a great idea.

Senator Elizabeth Warren’s views are sort of okay. She likes the Two-State Solution, which Jared Kushner has completely rejected. She wasn’t at all eager to speak of human rights violations by Israelis.
