Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

Gaza received 220 wounded in response to a demonstration at the border between Gaza and Israel on Friday, the 13th of July. On Saturday, Israel rained bombs and missiles on Gaza. By the late evening, a peace agreement had been reached. Two Palestinian youths (a 15 and a 20-year old) had been killed on Friday. Two more youths (a 15 and a 16-year old) were killed on Saturday. There were 12 wounded in Saturday’s attack. Four Israelis were lightly injured.

Since “The Great March of Return” began on “March 30, at least 138 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and more than 160,000 have been wounded.” The Karam Abu Salem commercial border crossing was closed on July 10th. Humanitarian needs such as cooking gas were let through, but no regular commerce was allowed to cross. In the previous weeks, flaming kites from Gaza have caused $2.5 million in damage to Israeli farmland.
