Major court victory announced today! Judge invokes Fordham University’s own mission statement to overturn their decision to disallow Palestine club on campus.

The lawsuit, filed in April 2017, argued that Fordham’s veto of the student government’s approval of SJP [Students for Justice in Palestine] was arbitrary and capricious, violating its own policies. In November 2017, the students filed a motion for a preliminary injunction asking the court to direct the university to recognize SJP urgently, as some of the students had graduated and others would soon graduate.
